Booking and payment

What is the booking process?

Use the enquiry form to request your date. If Marco is available, he will confirm the details and explain the next steps. No deposit is required; full payment is due on or before the performance day. Payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or cash.

How far in advance should I book?

You can book at short notice if Marco is available, but enquiring early gives you the best chance of securing your preferred date.

How much does Marco charge?

Marco has worked as a professional magician since 1986, with a focus on value for money and quality of performance. His fee is £400 for up to two hours at events within the M25. Outside the M25, mileage is charged at £1 per mile, calculated one way.

What if I need Marco for less than two hours?

Preparation and travel time remain the same for a shorter event, so the event fee does not change.

Performance and timing

How long should I book Marco for?

The best timing depends on the type of event and the number of guests. Marco's event rate usually covers up to two hours, and he can often stay longer without an extra charge. For 50 to 150 guests, two hours is usually enough time for Marco to visit most groups. For more than 150 guests, Marco can add a colleague from his trusted network of close-up magicians.

How does Marco fit into an event?

Marco can mingle during a reception, approach guests who are not required for photographs at a wedding, or perform at tables between courses. He can combine close-up, table and stand-up magic and will help you choose timings that complement the rest of the event.

What types of magic does Marco perform?

Marco performs classic and modern routines as well as many of his own creations. His performances can include cards, coins, cups and balls, sponge, rope, rings and mind reading.

Does Marco perform at children's parties?

Yes. Marco has performed at many children's parties for children aged six and above. He can even teach the birthday child a few tricks beforehand so they can perform a routine for their friends.

Venue and practical requirements

Does Marco need a table or changing area?

Marco arrives ready to perform and does not need a changing area. A stand-up performance may require a small table, which he will discuss with you in advance.

How far will Marco travel?

Marco can travel outside London and the M25. Additional travel costs may apply, so include the venue postcode in your enquiry.

Does Marco have public liability insurance?

Yes. As a member of Equity, the performers' union, registered as Magic Marco, he has up to £10 million in public liability insurance.
